Job Description:

The Intern - Solution Architect estimates, crafts, implements, and leads change to custom solutions. You will work with Acxiom associates to gather and translate requirements into solutions, through architecture and design artifacts, and provide technical capabilities to mentors ensuring the overall business strategy and technical vision are incorporated into the solution. You will provide support that requires a focus on consulting for proposed changes, process improvements, issue resolution, research of new designs, and working closely with internal and external associates.INTERNSHIP DETAILS:

  • This internship opportunity will begin January 9, 2023
  • Our intention is to have interns work on-site in Conway, Arkansas if possible. However, your internship may begin virtually and could continue virtually for its entirety. We plan to transition interns to on-site work when teams transition back into the office, but we currently do not have a timeline for this transition
  • 20-25/week during the semester, 40 hours/week work dedication during summer and breaks
  • Anticipated graduation date between May 2023 - December 2024
  • Applicants for this internship position with Acxiom in the U.S. must have work authorization that does not now or in the future require sponsorship of a visa for employment authorization in the United States and with Acxiom (i.e., H1-B visa, F-1 visa (CPT/OPT), TN visa or any other non-immigrant status)WHAT YOU'LL DO:
    • Handle complex change that significantly impacts an existing solution
    • Assist / Lead technical solution communications with the associated and oversee progress throughout the implementation phase
    • Anticipate obstacles and recommend solution options. Focus on balancing corporate objectives, feasibility, and scalability of solution
    • Gather requirements and transform the information into a logical process flow. Research possible approaches, evaluate cost, portability, compatibility, and usability, then engage in most efficient solution method for the changes/solution. Ensure the solution design fulfills functional and technical requirements. Accountable for the accuracy, process, integrity, quality, and stewardship of client solution architecture
    • Identify areas of process improvement that drives technical improvements
    • Consult, advise, and educate management, affected teams, and associates through communications at the appropriate technical granularity. Incorporate lessons learned into estimates, standards, and protocolsWHAT YOU WILL NEED:
      • Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent
      • Exposure to solution design/development principles
      • Ability to collaborate with mid to high-level management and communicate effectively. Ability to adjust communication and presentation styles based on different audiences
      • Ability to take detailed, highly technical concepts and present in a high-level non-technical fashion. Capable of effectively communicating the business benefits of the solution
      • Strong tech writing skillsWHAT WILL SET YOU APART:
        • Experience/understanding of a variety of database types (relational, NoSQL, time series, etc)
        • Unix/Linux Environment
        • Application Development (Python, NodeJS, or Scripting languages)
        • Familiarity with general security concepts (authentication, authorization, encryption, tokens)
        • API knowledge
        • Cloud Knowledge (AWS, GCP, AZURE)
        • Log Data Management
