Lockheed Martin is looking for a dedicated Power Systems Engineer to join the team in Denver, Colorado. This is a "Ground floor" opportunity on a new program award with a rapid System Requirements Review (SRR) and System Functional Review (SFR). This is a flagship program leveraging LM Space MBSE, MBE, and Digital Enterprise initiatives.In this role, you will :--- Design and develop technically complex space power systems in a development/production environment--- Capitalize on your Electrical Analysis skills by integrating power requirements throughout the system to include specs and ICDs, maintaining the power budget and current best estimates, maintaining and reporting the program power TPM, evaluating component and subsystem power analyses, supporting component/subsystem/system/enterprise test activities, and performing requirements maintenance, planning, and execution. --- Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications--- Enable the logical and systematic conversion of customer needs into total systems derived requirements and solutions --- Ensure power balancing throughout all subsystems for optimal performance--- Perform requirements sell-off through: Compiling, organizing, performing, analyzing and documenting completed compliance verification process which assesses design performance at both the package and system levels --- Participate in developing and executing critical development program key reviews such as SRR, SDR, PDR and CDR, optimally communicating to program and customer management and executive leadership extemporaneously and in formal reviewsTo promote the sharing of ideas, Lockheed Martin cultivates an inclusive work environment that inspires differences and big-picture thinking. Learn more about Lockheed Martin's competitive and comprehensive benefits package.Basic Qualifications:--- Bachelors degree Electrical Engineering, Physics, or closely related technical field from an accredited college/university--- Demonstrated experience related to the design, analysis, integration and verification of Electrical Power generation and/or regulation systems--- Knowledge and application of Systems Engineering processes and Systems Integration functions of at least one of the following:a.) System trade studies and/or System modelingb.) Requirements and Interface Control Document (ICD) developmentc.) System Integration, Test and/or Verificationd.) Test planning and execution with an understanding of all the interdependenciese.) Design reviews--- Current TS or SCI security clearanceDesired Skills:--- Model-based, structured system engineering experience with demonstrated success in lean, start-up, technically challenging programs--- Knowledge of Electrical laws of Physics (conservation of energy, Ohm's Law, Kirchhoff's Law, and Power Usage vs Power Dissipation)--- Experience in power simulation tools Saber, PSPICE, or equivalent--- Experience with software scripting/programming languages (e.g. Python, HTML, Matlab, Visual Basic, C/C++, etc.) --- Experience with satellite and/or missile system and/or box level test and analysis (or equivalent) --- Experience working with mission CONOPS and how it evolves into the design reference mission (DRM), day in the life (DITL), or equivalent method of defining mission operations--- Demonstrated behaviors of a systems thinker; selects and applies appropriate systems thinking skills to solve very complex problems and implement constructive change--- Ability to lead multi-functional teams and lead multiple teams to communicate and coordinate work as one team with common goals--- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong social skills, and ability to build consensus among peers while building solid relationships with team members, leadership, and customers--- Ability to work in a fast-paced, synergetic team environment--- Active DOD Top Secret or SCI clearance, with ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance
