DevSecOps Architect / Lead

Description: This is a position for the Space Software Product Line (SSPL) DevSecOps Technical Lead. This position will be responsible for defining and executing the DevSecOps strategy across 4 software product lines focused on space segment software (flight software, testbed & simulation software, big data software). This position is expected to define, lead and implement the strategy. This is a technical position responsible for producing as well as guiding solutions.

This position will join the Space Software Product Line (SSPL) team, and will additionally have a strong relationship with Lockheed Martins Software Factory (SWF) team. SSPL is seeking an individual who can help break through the common software stereotypes of Agile to work across teams in a highly-interdependent, schedule driven environment. As a DevSecOps Technical Lead, you will be responsible for getting to know the individual product line teams, assessing their maturity of DevSecOps implementation, developing a executing a plan for improvement and ultimately helping lead the implementation.

This position is essential as each of the four software product lines has experienced, and are expecting to continue to experience significant growth in the near future. A key objective of this position will be to develop CI/CD solutions which effectively package multiple products from our product lines in order to execute in a more cost and schedule efficient manner for our customers.

Basic Qualifications:

A degree in software engineering, aerospace engineering, computer science, or a related field

5 years of experience operating in a CI/CD - continuous integration/continuous deployment environment

2 years of experience implementing CI/CD solutions using CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, etc.

Expertise with Linux operating systems and command line tools

Experience executing in an Agile software development environment

Strong communication skills, written and verbal

Desired Skills:

Experience with Open Container Initiative tools, such as Docker

Previous experience in embedded software development or leadership

Agile coaching experience

Agile Product Owner experience

Agile SCRUM Master experience
