Job Duties and Responsibilities As part of the DISH Wireless 5G Wireless Data Management Team, the Manager Technical Reporting will be responsible for collaborating with business units across the company to promote data-driven solutions. This individual will build and oversee a team of Analysts as they find new sources of Technical data for Wireless integration and operations, discover hidden patterns, create insightful variables, and develop a variety of machine learning models to guide business decisions. The individual should act as an expert to mentor analysts on the application and design of data integration and data management solutions. Primary responsibilities fall into the following categories: Work with business leaders and stakeholders to understand stakeholders' business problems, context, data sources, potential risks, and constraints. Engage, problem solve, and communicate across the enterprise to drive successful initiatives. Work through the technical, business, and operational questions that develop surrounding the data management initiatives. Conduct statistical data analysis, KPI formulation, including exploratory data analysis, data mining, and document key insights and findings Work cross-functionally with our IT, Operations, Product, Engineering, and Analytics, etc. teams to drive strategic initiatives and harness opportunities. Document key insights, recommend actions, and quantify business impact Explore, model, mine, and experiment with data to answer critical business issues Collaborate with Data Warehouse, Business Intelligence, and Reporting teams to standardize reporting and analytics implementation(s) across a variety of business teams/users/constituents. Assist team members in translating business needs into compelling visualizations of KPI trends through iterative design sessions. Skills, Experience and Requirements To be successful in this role, our ideal candidate will have the following: Required Qualifications: Must have experience working in Telecommunications in a technical role in atleast one of the following disciplines, Transport/Backhaul design, RF Design, Core, Network Planning, Integrations. A relevant advanced degree and a minimum of 5 years post-undergrad work experience AND/OR a combination of relevant experience and education. Strong facilitation skills, follow-through abilities, and strong ownership of initiatives and issues - drive teams to resolution and delivery Record of accomplishment of learning new technologies related to data visualization and analytics. Strong SQL expertise and warehousing, and dimensional modeling experience. Experience in analyzing data and providing recommendations. Proven track record of leading initiatives, hitting goals and succeeding in a team environment Experience with Business Visualization toolkits (e.g. Tableau, PowerBI, Qlikview, Looker etc.) Self-motivated with a strong desire to succeed Strong critical thinking and problem-solving ability/experience Strong organizational and communication skills Be naturally curious and willing to seek out and learn new information Preferred Qualifications: Technical knowledge/understanding of 5G network and experience working in the Telecom industry. Experience with software languages SQL, R etc.) Prior experience in training and mentoring members on the team. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
