Developer will analyze, design, develop and maintain the customer's
new or enhanced software applications. Functional requirements for
enhancements and/or new applications will originate with subject
matter experts or requirements workgroups established by the
Government. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Design, develop
and maintain various forms and map-based software applications
using Oracle/.NET developer tools, including Microsoft Visual
Studio for NIOGEMS and ESRI ArcGIS/ArcObjects libraries.Develop
software tools and applications not related to NIOGEMS.Develop and
maintain the NIOGEMS Oracle and spatial database.Evaluate, prepare
source data and integrate data into various applications.Gather,
document, and assist client in defining application requirements
and designs.Design and develop application installation methods,
procedures and software.Install applications as required on Federal
and Tribal systems.Work with application users in understanding
usage of applications.May assist in populating reservations sites
databases. SUPERVISORY/MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY This position has no
supervisor or management authority. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
B.A./B.S. degree in a software development or Information
Technology related degree.At least four years of direct programming
experience with VS .Net development experience (preferably VB
.Net).Exposure to natural resources or engineering related data and
methods. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Candidates must be US
citizensThis position may require travel 25% of the timeSoftware
development and coding methods using Microsoft Visual Studio (VS)
VB .Net.ESRI GIS-related software and ArcObjects libraries, and
methods used by the underlying GIS and engineering-related
functions.Skill with SQL, relational databases, RDBMS (Oracle, SQL
Server, etc.).Facility with Microsoft Office, particularly Word and
Excel software.Good organizational, writing, and oral communication
skills.Ability to successfully pass a drug screen and background
investigation WORK ENVIRONMENT This position operates in a
professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard
office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing
cabinets and fax machines. Services will be performed on-site at
the government's facility in Lakewood, Colorado office.Employees
may also be required to travel to remote sites for field work,
training, and presentations of project work and at times work
outdoors in variable weather conditions. Cherokee Nation

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $66,000 - $120,000 CNB offers
discretionary annual incentive pay based upon performance that is
commensurate with the level of the position. CNB offers a generous

the enforcement of the mandate, however, if the injunction is
lifted and the mandate remains, Cherokee Federal must reenact its
