PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Process and/or review weekly adjuster and temporary employee
payroll leading to a complete, accurate and timely payroll using
Paychex Flex for 1k - 2.5k W-2 employees and 1099 vendors.
- Generate reports to analyze payroll data for integrity.
- Calculates and processes other routine payroll tasks such as
manual checks, advances and reissues.
- Process wage garnishments including setting up withholding on
employee records.
- Process new hire documents and related reporting.
- Complete employment verifications.
- Assists employees with payroll related questions, resolve and
respond timely to employees with a high level of customer
service.
- Identify potential issues, errors and improvement opportunities
in the payroll area and recommend solutions.
- Must have ability to ensure accurate accounting for payroll
transactions in an ERP environment.
- Prepare periodic reports such as Labor Statistics for external
agencies.
- Stay informed on prevailing laws and regulations related to
payroll.
- Assists with special projects as assigned.
OTHER POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Solid working knowledge of payroll policies, procedures and
practices, and payroll tax at the federal, state and local
levels.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma/GED is required. Associate degree
preferred.
- FPC/CPP certification required.
- 5+ years of experience in the multi-state payroll field.
- Paychex Flex experience is preferred.
- Advanced using MS Office - Excel.
- Experience utilizing ERP system required. Skilled in use of
internet for business research purposes; sound written and oral
business communication skills, including formatting and preparation
of memoranda, letters, and reports; basic mathematical skills;
diplomacy; fine and gross motor skills, as well as mental
requirements, to operate of standard office equipment, including
personal computer, multi-line office telephone system and wireless
communication and computing devices, photocopiers and scanning
devices, audio visual equipment, and other routine equipment.
- Demonstrates thorough skill set in a variety of office
software, including Microsoft Office Suite (including, but not
necessarily limited to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and
SharePoint).

skills; excellent interpersonal, customer service, and
problem-solving skills; demonstrates teamwork, compassion, and
respect toward others.
WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is generally performed in a typical office
environment, with limited exposure to harsh weather conditions,
loud internal or external noise, fumes, or significant temperature
changes. Occasional overnight travel in a work capacity may be
required.
PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS: Lift and carry up to 10 lbs.;
frequent standing, sitting, walking, and bending; occasional
kneeling, reaching, and stooping; handling office equipment;
periodic driving may be required; visual acuity to prepare and read
detailed hard copy and electronic documents; ability to speak and
to hear the spoken word in normal face-to-face and telephonic
business communications.
