UDR, Inc. is now hiring a Corporate Recruiter 1 to join our team at our corporate office in Highlands Ranch.GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Assist with the management of the professional and managerial staffing activities of the Company, including internal and external recruitment and placement. Recruit, research, interview, screen, and refer job candidates for job openings. Facilitate hiring manager relationships, prospect and qualify candidate resources, assist with the recruiting system enhancements and assist with analysis and evaluation of recruiting processes for strategic planning. Participate in building and facilitating a Workforce Planning process.SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Reports directly to the Director of RecruitingESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Implement strategic recruitment and retention initiatives per HR management direction, department goals and Retention Strategy.2. Build a proactive talent pipeline which consistently ensures diverse candidate pools and includes passive talent.3. Manage recruiting operations and compliance requirements by effectively leveraging technology.4. Enhance the recruiting experience for business clients, colleagues, and candidates by developing a deep understanding of the business needs and labor markets.5. Assist in the development of all strategic elements as it relates to staffing and recruitment on a company-wide basis.6. Oversee the employment function in order to ensure that all employment processes are followed, including maintenance of recruitment sources, meeting departmental staffing needs and selection procedures.7. Work in conjunction with Data and Compensation Supervisor on job description development and implementation of job analysis processes. Confer with management and supervisors to identify personnel needs, job specifications, job duties, qualifications, and skills. May assist in the creation of job descriptions and/or review and editing job descriptions written by others. The Data and Compensation Supervisor, in conjunction with the SVP Human Resources will have final approval authority over all job descriptions. Assist the SVP - Human Resources, in the implementation of any special recruitment goals and programs as they relate to the hiring of minorities, veterans, or individuals with disabilities.8. Review applications and interview applicants to obtain work history, education, training, job skills, and salary requirements, and provide information about the organization and position.9. Screen and refer candidates for additional interviews with others in the organization.10. In conjunction with the Director - Recruiting, develop recruitment programs and collateral, such as brochures about the organization and its opportunities.11. Coordinate participation in, set up displays, and work at job fairs as needed.12. Manage all reference and background checks on applicants. Coordinate communications with applicants.13. Develop and maintain contacts with schools, alumni groups, and other public organizations to find and attract applicants.14. Develop and maintain network of contacts to help identify and source qualified candidates including internet online recruiting sources.15. Provide continuous follow-up with hiring managers to confirm staffing plans and budget compliance.16. Manage candidate process and act as a candidate advocate for assigned recruiting responsibilities. Evaluate skill level, manage offer process, and conduct reference checks. Facilitate offers by partnering with hiring manager.17. Work with external recruiters and employment agencies to identify and recruit candidates, if applicable, and with prior approval from Senior Management.18. Perform other duties as assigned or as necessary.PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Knowledge of organizational policies and procedures. Knowledge of technical recruitment, human resource management, and office management techniques. Knowledge of human resources policies and procedures. Thorough knowledge of company policies and procedures, and the ability to apply policies and procedures to solve everyday company issues.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the use of the internet, cold calls and internet searches. Must have a professional and outgoing personality. Maintain current knowledge of Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and affirmative action guidelines and laws, such as the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Ability to use research analysis in order to provide support in formulating human resources strategies and business cases. Proven experience in working individually as well as within a team.
  • Excellent attention to detail with a focus on data quality. Must have the ability to manage workload, and to communicate with managers and staff at all levels of the organization. Changing priorities place unusual demands on controlling workflow. Ability to adjust plans and schedules to respond to crisis situations and to withstand pressure attributable to meeting the changing needs of company executives. Self-directed, detail-oriented problem solver with a burning desire to contribute to the organizations reputation and success. Proven experience in working individually as well as within a team. Must have the ability to manage workload, and to communicate with managers and staff at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to write reports, and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, candidates, and customers.
  • Knowledge of the internet, computer systems, and applications. Skilled in the use of spreadsheet, relational database, and word processing software. Ability to process computer data and to format and generate reports. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Requires mobility sufficient to travel. Some bending, stooping and stretching. Occasionally lifting items weighing up to 30 lbs. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator, and other office equipment. Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare, and communicate appropriate reports. Extensive data input and required ability to sit for long periods of time. Regular and consistent attendance on the job is an essential function.TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Normal office environment. Occasional evening or weekend work.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:1. Bachelors Degree in Human Resources Management, Business, related field, or its equivalent experience, required.2. Minimum of 3 years experience with in recruiting and extensive interviewing experience.3. Workforce planning and recruiting metrics experience preferred.4.
