Job Description:
UCHealth, a renowned nonprofit health care system based in
Colorado, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Diagnostic Medical
Sonographer and Student Coordinator to join our team. This role
combines expertise in sonography with a passion for guiding and
training the next generation of healthcare professionals. At

professional growth. In this dual role, you will be responsible for
performing diagnostic procedures and managing the sonography
education program, ensuring both high-quality patient care and
exceptional training for sonography students. Perform diagnostic
sonographic examinations utilizing ultrasonic equipment in various
modes and techniques to locate, evaluate, and record pertinent
anatomical, pathological, and functional data. Provide detailed
explanations to patients before, during, and after procedures,
ensuring comfort and compliance with all safety protocols.
Supervise and coordinate activities of the sonography students,
including scheduling, curriculum development, and overseeing
clinical rotations. Evaluate student progress and performance,
providing feedback and remedial help as needed. Maintain records of
diagnostic procedures in accordance with UCHealth policies and
regulatory bodies. Collaborate with other healthcare team members
to improve patient outcomes and educational programs. Stay updated
with the latest developments in sonographic technology and
education techniques. Advanced knowledge and proficiency in
diagnostic sonography techniques and protocols. Strong
interpersonal and communication skills for working with patients
and as part of an interdisciplinary team. Experience in educational
methodologies and student coordination. Ability to manage time
effectively and handle both clinical and educational
responsibilities. Capability to troubleshoot and maintain
sonographic equipment. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision

certification.
