CO Department: Neurology FTE: Full Time, 1.0, 80.00 hours per pay
period (2 weeks) Shift: Days Pay: $38.91 - $60.31 / hour. Pay is
dependent on applicant's relevant experience. This position is an
onsite role and does not offer a hybrid or remote option Job
Summary: The Outpatient Neurology Charge Nurse provides clinical
leadership and operational oversight for a fast-paced neurology
outpatient practice. This role coordinates daily clinic flow,
supports high-quality patient care, and serves as a clinical
resource for nursing staff while collaborating closely with
neurologists, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary
teams. The Charge Nurse ensures safe, efficient, and
patient-centered care delivery while promoting evidence-based
neurological practices and regulatory compliance. Key
Responsibilities: Provide day-to-day clinical leadership and
supervision of outpatient neurology nursing staff and support
personnel. Coordinate patient flow, staffing assignments, and
clinic operations to ensure timely, efficient care delivery. Serve
as a clinical expert in neurological conditions, treatments, and
procedures, including seizure disorders, stroke follow-up,
neuromuscular diseases, headaches, and neurodegenerative
conditions. Support and reinforce evidence-based nursing practice,
patient safety standards, and quality improvement initiatives. Act
as a liaison between providers, nursing staff, and administrative
teams to resolve clinical or operational issues. Oversee patient
education related to neurological diagnoses, medications,
diagnostic testing, and care plans. Ensure accurate documentation,
regulatory compliance, and adherence to organizational policies and
outpatient care standards. Assist with onboarding, mentoring, and
competency development of nursing staff. Participate in performance
improvement activities, data tracking, and clinic workflow
optimization. Provide direct patient care as needed, including
triage, assessment, and coordination of follow-up care.
Requirements: Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing
approved Registered/Professional Nursing program. Must hold a
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited or state board of
nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program within
three years of assuming the Charge RN position. State licensure as
a Registered Nurse (RN). Minimum Experience: 1 year of nursing
experience. Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider. Relevant
certification as determined at position level. BLS through the
American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the
Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or
CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire. We improve lives.
