Job Description:
UCHealth is currently seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN)
specializing in Operating Room services to join our innovative
healthcare team. This position involves working within a dynamic
operating room environment at one of Colorado's leading nonprofit
hospitals. The role requires a focused professional capable of
delivering high-quality patient care while effectively managing the
pressures that come with a surgical setting. As an RN in our
Operating Rooms, you will play a critical role in patient recovery,
working closely with surgeons and other healthcare professionals to
ensure the successful execution of surgical procedures and the
safety and comfort of patients. Assess patient condition before,
during, and after surgery, providing appropriate care. Prepare
operating rooms for surgery including sterilization of instruments
and ensuring necessary equipment is available and functioning
properly. Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments
and other supplies. Monitor patient vital signs during surgery and
notify attending surgeons and anesthesiologists of abnormalities.
Administer medications as prescribed and monitor patients for
reactions or side effects. Record patients’ medical information and
vital signs. Maintain continuity among nursing teams by documenting
and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, including
infection control procedures. Strong clinical skills in a surgical
environment Excellent teamwork and communication skills Ability to
work efficiently under pressure Detailed knowledge of operating
room procedures and protocols Proficiency in using medical software
and surgical instruments Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision
Insurance Life Insurance 401k Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
in the state of Colorado BLS/CPR Certification ACLS Certification
preferred
