A healthcare facility in Arvada, CO is seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging procedures with accuracy and professionalism. This contract role requires expertise in radiography to produce high-quality images that assist in physician diagnosis and patient care. Key Responsibilities: - Perform diagnostic X-ray examinations following physician orders and imaging protocols. - Operate and maintain X-ray imaging equipment safely and effectively. - Prepare patients by positioning and immobilizing them correctly for procedures. - Transfer patients as needed while ensuring comfort and safety. - Submit clinical images and information promptly to Radiologists for interpretation. - Evaluate image quality and retake images when necessary. - Administer contrast media according to Radiologist guidelines. - Follow infection control policies and radiation safety measures (ALARA) to protect patients and staff. - Coordinate examinations to maximize efficiency and quality of care. - Communicate clearly and professionally with patients, colleagues, Radiologists, and leadership. - Utilize and maintain department supplies responsibly. - Supervise and evaluate student radiographers during clinical training. - Manage multiple tasks efficiently to meet deadlines. Qualifications and Desired Experience: - Certification and licensure as a Radiologic Technologist. - Proven experience performing diagnostic radiographic procedures. - Strong knowledge of imaging equipment operation and safety protocols. - Excellent patient care and communication skills. - Ability to multitask and work effectively in a busy clinical environment. - Experience supervising students is preferred.
