Job Description:
UCHealth is seeking a dedicated and experienced Manager of
Transplant Services for our Heart & Ventricular Assist Device (VAD)
program. Located in the heart of Colorado, UCHealth is a leading
nonprofit healthcare system, committed to providing the highest
quality patient-centered care. In this vital role, the manager will
oversee the Heart and VAD transplant service line, ensuring
exceptional care standards and operational efficiency. This
position requires a deep understanding of transplant services,
strong leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate across
multiple disciplines to enhance patient outcomes and service
delivery. Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the heart
and VAD transplant programs. Develop and implement policies and
procedures that conform to current standards of nursing practice
and operational efficiency. Ensure compliance with all national,
state, and local regulatory requirements besides maintaining
accreditation standards. Collaborate with medical staff to develop
and maintain high quality care and patient safety. Monitor and
report on program performance, including patient outcomes and
financial metrics. Participate in budget preparation and monitor
expenses. Provide educational resources and support for staff and
patients, enhancing the expertise within the service line. Proven
leadership and management skills within a medical or surgical
setting. Strong understanding of transplant service operations and
protocols. Excellent organizational, communication, and
interpersonal skills. Ability to analyze data, understand trends
and develop strategies based on operational metrics. Medical
Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k
Registered Nurse (RN) license required. Certification in Clinical
Transplant Coordination or Administration is highly preferred.
