Job Description:
Join UCHealth, a leading nonprofit healthcare system in
Colorado, as a Registered Nurse (RN) in our Acute Care Medicine
Department. This position focuses on providing high-quality
patient-centered care during night shifts within our dynamic
healthcare settings. The ideal candidate will handle a range of
responsibilities including monitoring patient health conditions,
administering medications, and collaborating with other healthcare
professionals to deliver comprehensive care. This role requires a
deep commitment to enhancing patient outcomes, a robust
understanding of healthcare protocols, and the ability to operate
effectively in a high-stress environment. Monitor patient health
and update records with vital signs and medical information.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and monitor
responses. Collaborate with physicians, specialist teams, and
healthcare practitioners to formulate, implement, and evaluate
patient care plans. Educate patients and their families on
treatment plans, conditions, and preventive care. Ensure compliance
with hospital policies and procedures, along with state and federal
regulations. Assist in emergency nursing procedures necessary for
prompt control of changes in patient’s physical condition. Perform
diagnostic tests and conduct thorough patient assessments.
Proficiency in using medical software and electronic health record
(EHR) systems Strong skills in patient assessment and critical
thinking Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability
to manage stress and remain composed under pressure Expertise in
inserting IVs, administering medications and managing acute medical
conditions Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life
Insurance 401k Valid RN license in the state of Colorado BLS/CPR
certification required ACLS certification is highly desired
