registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1 years RN experience
required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not
be considered. Providing specialized care in a dynamic transplant
and stepdown unit, this nursing role requires proficiency in
med/surg and telemetry nursing, with a focus on patients receiving
Heparin infusions and PCA management. The position supports a
34-bed unit with a dedicated team committed to delivering
high-quality patient-centered care, maintaining nurse-to-patient
ratios between 1:3 and 1:4 to ensure efficient and effective
clinical attention. Key Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Strong med/surg and telemetry nursing background Experience
managing patients on Heparin drips and patient-controlled analgesia
(PCAs) Preferred: Stepdown or progressive care unit (PCU)
experience Preferred: Solid organ transplant care experience
(kidney, liver, pancreas) Ability to manage wound and drain care
including wound vacs, chest tubes, and Jackson-Pratt drains
Adaptability and reliability in a fast-paced clinical environment
with multitasking capabilities Responsibilities: Deliver direct
patient care while adhering to established nurse-to-patient ratios
Collaborate with a skilled multidisciplinary team including PCTs
and sitters Utilize advanced medical equipment such as bladder
scanners, AccuVein, EKG machines, and lifts Accurately document
care in Meditech electronic medical records Participate in ongoing
adherence to unit policies and safety guidelines Location
