care within a Level 1 trauma center environment, managing highly

Location:Situated in Littleton, CO, this role supports a trauma
unit located on the 10th floor of a major hospital. The facility
features a 20-bed Step-Down Unit equipped with advanced medical
technology including vents, feeding and IV pumps, wound vacuums,
specialty beds, suction, and chest tubes. Caring for patients with
ventilators and tracheostomies, the unit maintains patient ratios
of approximately 1:4, supported by a team including charge nurses,
nurses, and technicians across day and night shifts.
Responsibilities: - Provide nursing care to multi-trauma, step-down
patients, including management of chest tubes, tracheostomies,
suction devices, and ventilated patients - Collaborate effectively
within a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality,
patient-centered care - Perform bedside procedures such as chest
tube placement and bronchoscopies under guidance - Adhere to
established trauma unit policies and protocols ensuring patient
safety and clinical excellence Desired Experience and
Qualifications: - Current RN licensure with BLS certification
required - Experience managing trauma patients, chest tubes,
tracheostomies, and suctioning - ACLS certification highly
preferred - Comfort working in a fast-paced, acute care environment
with a willingness to embrace new challenges - Strong team player
