Job Description:

UCHealth Medical Group South needs a provider to cover Cardiovascular Surgery at Memorial Hospital Central in Colorado Springs, CO for 1-2 weeks per month!

Schedule:

--- Call coverage needed, ongoing as soon as credentialed.

--- No specific dates are provided until provider has accepted an offer.

--- Friday, Saturday, Sunday, some vacation weekday call coverage 6a-6a

Details:

--- Hospital based

--- 100% Adult

--- 10-15 hospital-based patients on average per day

--- PPD: 1-2 Admissions, 8-10 ICU, 1-2 Surgeries

--- 400 Total number of beds

--- 12 ICU Beds

--- 2 Physicians in practice, 5 Mid-lvels

--- Reason for coverage: change in staffing, looking to backfill

--- Level 1 trauma

--- EMR: Epic

--- 2 Physicians

--- Required to supervise and provide clinical oversight as appropriate while on call.

--- No other thoracic surgeons will be present during locum call coverage.

--- Conversion/perm fee placement cap $25K

--- 90 day credentialing timeframe

Required Procedures:

--- General CV/Thoracic Surgery - open

--- Coronary artery bypass surgery - on pump & Off-pump

--- Congenital defects (ASD
--- Valvular Repair & replacement

--- Aneurysm Repair - Cardiac & Aorto-thoracic

--- ECMO Cannulation and Patient stabilization for transport to academic center in Denver.

Preferred Procedures:

--- Evaluation and management of acute vol /BP issues

--- Insertion of Central Line, Arterial Line, PA catheter, IABP

Travel Requirements:

--- Must send provider flights and lodging info 4 weeks before start.

--- Flights - Up to $750 RT cap

--- Lodging - Reimbursed by Receipt - $150/night before taxes and fees

--- Car rental - Reimbursed by Receipt - up to an economy car cap.

--- Mileage - IRS Standard Rate.

--- Malpractice (must be included in the rates)

--- Orientation

--- 24 Hour On Call

--- Holiday 24 Hour On Call

--- Conversion fee ($25k rate cap)
