Charge Nurse Medical Acute Care Nights at UCHealth summary:
The Charge Nurse in the Medical Acute Care Unit at UCHealth is responsible for providing direct patient care in a fast-paced environment, ensuring exceptional outcomes through a multidisciplinary team approach. This role requires a Registered Nurse (RN) license and at least one year of nursing experience, with an emphasis on evidence-based practice and patient-centered care. The Charge Nurse also plays a vital role in mentoring new staff and fostering a culture of safety and quality in patient care.

Location: UCHealth Anschutz Inpatient Pavilion, US:CO:Aurora

Department: Medical Acute Care Unit

FTE: Full Time, 0.9, 72.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)

Shift: Nights

Pay: $40.86 - $63.33 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience

Minimum Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program if less than 3 years experience.
• State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• 1 year of nursing experience.
• Per UEXCEL Bylaws, must promote to Charge Nurse III within 3 years of promotion to Charge Nurse.
• BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire. All life support certification cards must be issued by either the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer. (American Red Cross for the Professional Rescuer is only good upon hire and all renewals will need to be through an American Heart Association sanctioned course.)
