Responsibilities:
The Patient Representative is responsible for managing the
telephone systems, retrieving messages from voicemail, taking
messages for staff, greeting patients and vendors, helping with
verification of benefits, payment collection and posting, and any
other task which is assigned.Works effectively with the facility
leadership team to ensure success of the facility by completing the
following:Greets visitors and patients in a professional
manner.Maintains the visitor and employee sign-in / sign-out logs.
Ensures all visitors are given a "Visitor" badge and ensures
visitors return "Visitor" badgeScreens visitors with COVID-19
questions and temperature logPerforms breathalyzer on patients as
deemed necessaryPerforms Rapid COVID-19 tests on patients as deemed
necessaryManages the scheduling, obtaining and reading of urine
drug screens and urine pregnancy tests as orderedSchedules
follow-up Physician and Nurse Practitioner visitsConfirms
appointments.Arranges for MAT injections, ordering, arranging for
delivery and administeringMaintains and orders office supplies for
every departmentMaintains a professional atmosphere both on the
telephone and in the waiting areaKnows the whereabouts of staff on
a continuous basisMaintains a filing system for various company
functionsAssists with projects from other departments as
necessaryAttends staff meetings when necessaryMaintains
confidentiality pertaining to clients and familiesAdheres to all
company policies and proceduresContacts health plans to verify
patient benefits, copays and deductiblesRelays to patient payment
responsibilityCollects and posts patient paymentsOther duties as
assigned
Qualifications:

requredHigher Education in a business-related field
preferredMinimum one (1) year experience in a professional
settingBilingual (English/Spanish)Licensure/Certification:Medical
