Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe Sr. Manager - National Development may have oversight of Lease Administration Specialists, Title Managers, Regulatory Program Managers and Vendor Management. This includes planning and evaluating all department activities and processes. The Lease Administration team is responsible for preparing accurate and detailed abstracts of leases, amendments and other lease documents, including tracking all critical dates and financial requirements. Lease Administration will work with market representatives and landlords on lease execution and terminations. The Sr. Manager will have expertise in lifecycle lease administration as well as experience interpreting leasing terms to ensure compliance of all lease related payments. The Sr. Manager will also have experience defining title and regulatory requirements and processes. The Sr. Manager may also be responsible for overall vetting, on-boarding, and relationship management with national vendors required to support DISH's nationwide 5G network deployment. This position will lead a team of subject matter experts and be responsible for developing and maintaining a large pool of vendors to support our market teams to deliver a high performance network infrastructure. The right applicant will have a strong knowledge of the competitive landscape and use this knowledge to negotiate favorable terms with our vendors. This role will require some travel. Responsibilities include:Plan and allocate resources to effectively staff and accomplish the work to meet departmental productivity and quality goals.Provide oversight and direction to the employees in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures.Coach, mentor, and develop staff, including overseeing new employee onboarding and providing career development planning and opportunities.Empower employees to take responsibility for their jobs and goals. Delegate responsibility and expect accountability and regular feedback.Lead employees to meet the organization's expectations for productivity, quality, continuous improvement, and goal accomplishment.Plan, evaluate, and improve the efficiency of business processes and procedures to enhance speed, quality, efficiency, and output.Coordinate with stakeholders across the headquarters organization and within the markets to identify and source services and products needed to support the build with a focus on quality, schedule, and cost Management oversight of strategic vendor partnerships that provide real estate assets, site development services, construction materials, network equipment, utilities, etc Establish and maintain a vendor performance management system and communication planProvide contract training and guidance to stakeholders and support market teams if/when contract disputes ariseOverall management of multiple concurrent projects and network-related initiatives that are high profile, technically complex and unique in nature Communicate status and issues at various levels of the organization in a clear and concise mannerAnticipate tactical challenges and develop contingency plans for controlling costs and maintaining market deployment schedules Establish strong rapport within team members, support national practices that drive employee engagement and productivity Skills, Experience and RequirementsA successful Sr. Manager - National Development will have the following:Bachelor's degree preferred and 8 years of experience or equivalent years in lease or contracts administration5+ years of site acquisition, network operation, construction experience, and budget accountabilityA minimum of 3-5 years of responsible leadership experience in management or supervisory positionsUnderstanding of legal terminology as it pertains to leases and real estate.Wireless Network experience is preferredKnowledge and experience in business, supervision, and managementKnowledge of interpersonal relationship building and employee coaching and development skillsDemonstrated ability to lead and develop a department and department staff membersDemonstrated knowledge of leasing contracts, amendments, SNDAs, and Memorandum of LeaseExcellent computer skills, including both the Microsoft Windows environment and the Google platformEvidence of the ability to practice a high level of confidentialityThe ability to thrive in a start-up environment with significant ambiguity and challenging problems inherent in building a greenfield, stand-alone 5G network, including ownership of policy developmentExecutive presence with strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills Salary RangeCompensation: $100,100.00/Year - $143,000.00/Year BenefitsFrom versatile health perks to new career opportunities, check out our benefits on our careers website.Employment is contingent on Successful completion of a pre-employment screen, which may include a drug test.
