of the range. RN Director of Med/Surg and Float Pool Sky Ridge
Medical Center We are seeking an RN Director of our Medical
(Med/Surg) Services Department, as well as our Float Pool, for our

- You role develops and maintains systems to promote high levels
of patient, employee and physician satisfaction; as well as
external customer satisfaction, and improving patient outcomes as
evidenced through HCAHPS.
- You assume all facets of operations and accountability of
Medical Services Department and the Float Pool.
- Your role is responsible for assuring adequate staffing and
maintaining appropriate productivity standards.
- You will demonstrate advanced knowledge and skills in the care
of patients in designated areas.
- You will oversee patient care utilizing the nursing
process-assessment, care planning, implementation, and
reassessment- for identified population per the Colorado Nurse
- Your role oversees patient care documentation; coordinates
interdisciplinary communication and care; participates on hospital
committees; facilitate unit meetings. Develops and implements unit
specific competencies; annual performance of staff; supervises Unit
Manager, CNC's, Charge RN's, RN's, CNA's, MST's, Telemetry
technicians and Unit Secretaries.
- You provide coaching and counseling for employees as
appropriate; supervises unit scheduling; monitors and addresses
- Your role participates and coordinates daily leader rounding on
patients and monthly rounding on staff in conjunction with Unit
Manager and CNC's.
- You develop strategic plans specific to Medical Services
services including: program development, quality standards and
improvements, patient safety and patient satisfaction initiatives,
along with demonstrate understanding of Joint Commission Standards
for accreditation. Requirements for this position:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing or Bachelors Degree in health
related field required (If not present at time of hire, must be
complete within 2 years of hire date). Masters in Nursing or
related field preferred.
- Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered
Nurse, or current active multistate Registered Nurse license.
Current AHA or ARC BCLS certification.
- Minimum of 5 years relevant clinical experience required.
- Previous management experience preferred.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the practice and scope of nursing
with the ability to plan and provide for delivery of nursing
