We welcome all that share those values to apply. The Town of Castle Rock has outstanding opportunities for Seasonal Signs & Markings Maintenance Worker Is in our Public Works department. These positions will assist with painting of various street markings such as crosswalks and parking lots. Work involves painting of existing pavement markings such as crosswalks, parking stalls, and other symbols as directed. They will perform duties in a manner consistent with the stated values of the organization. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Painting of existing pavement markings such as crosswalks, parking stalls, and other symbols as directed. Must be able to work on feet for majority of the workday and be exposed to outdoor weather conditions Performs other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered. Education: High School Diploma or GED Experience: Six to twelve months related work experience in general public works maintenance or construction work experience, or any equivalent combination. Experience in pavement marking is preferred. Licenses and/or Certifications Required: Possession of a valid Driver’s License Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Experience in small painting equipment operations such as paint line applicators, manual paint rollers, and pavement marking layout templates, or the ability to quickly learn their use Able to lift up to 70 pounds Ability to work days and nights Exceptional customer service and demonstrated commitment to quality programs are required PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Moderate to heavy physical work to include lifting 75lbs or less, carrying 75lbs or less, and pushing and/or pulling 50lbs or less Ability to physically access all work sites to perform duties, potentially in any weather and environmental conditions Frequent performance of activities requiring a full range of body movement including climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling/bending, crouching, crawling, and/or twisting Frequent hand/eye coordination to operate tools and electrical equipment as well as for driving equipment and vehicles Vision for reading, recording and interpreting information Speech communication and hearing to maintain communication with employees and citizens WORK ENVIRONMENT: Works primarily outdoors with exposure to all weather conditions Regular exposure to dust, noise, and chemicals EQUIPMENT USED: This position may require the occasional use of personal equipment (e.g. vehicle, cell phone, tools, etc.) in the course of their employment This posting is subject to close at any point in time once a qualified pool of applicants has been obtained.
