core responsibility revolves around empowering development teams
with a robust platform that streamlines processes, enhances
collaboration, and accelerates release cycles, thereby driving
efficiency and innovation. You will be on a team that is
responsible for development and operational environments consisting
of a mix of servers, workstations, storage, networks, and custom
hardware. These environments provide the enterprise hybrid-cloud
backbone for product development and testing for a large program
producing a critical, strategic national asset. This will include a
mixture of hands-on keyboard engineering work as well as
documentation and baseline control.NOTE: This position will be
filled onsite in the RTX Facility located in Aurora CO,
accordingly, and the ideal candidate will be expected to come on
site to the RTX campus to perform work.What You Will Do
- The Qualified candidate will be submitted for a TS/SCI Security
Clearance as part of this position to build a pipeline into our
future program needs, which will require you to fill out
documentation through Security for an extended background
check.
- Support transitioning a system that is tightly coupled to the
underlying infrastructure
- Assist with architecture, design, development, integration, and
support of build, integration & test, and deployment pipelines,
optimizing for performance and scalability across on-premise VMware
computing environments
- Leverage company and industry best practices and capabilities
to improve scalability, consistency, infrastructure efficiency,
reduce deployment time, and automate configuration management
- Collaborate with software engineers, data scientists, and
DevOps teams to design and implement development and mission
solutions
- Integrate security and compliance -into the platform with
services such as encryption and access management
- Provide operational support for the platformQualifications You
Must Have
- Typically requires BS/BA Degree in Science, Technology
Engineering Math (STEM) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering,
Information Technology or Physics and 8 years of related work
experience
- Experience designing, implementing, and integrating platform
infrastructure services using technologies such as Kubernetes,
Docker / Rancher
- Experience with programming/scripting languages (E.g. Python,
Ruby, Bash, Go)
- Current CompTIA Security + or ability to obtain within 90
days
- Ability to obtain a TS/SCI Clearance and willing to submit to a
Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph after day 1. U.S. citizenship is
required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for security
clearancesQualifications We Prefer
- Experience deploying, configuring, and supporting CICD
Pipelines tools (E.g. Jira, Confluence, Bit Bucket, Jenkins,
Artifactory, Gitlab)
- Experience with troubleshooting applications & infrastructure
services on Linux based Operating Systems
- Experience with automation frameworks such as Chef, Puppet, and
Ansible
- Knowledge of secure coding practices such as OWASP, secrets
management, and vulnerability remediation
- Background in COTS/FOSS product installation, configuration,

- The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD.
The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative
of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when
extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role,
function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work
