development of a sophisticated state-of-the-art tactical avionics
system for the Fleet Ballistic Missiles (FBM) program. FBM is the

II D5 Fleet Ballistic Missile. Key activities you will accomplish
in this role:
--- Lead the development of embedded circuit, board, and electrical
data bus / network architecture.
--- Conduct trade studies at the circuit card and subsystem
levels.
--- Capture electrical schematics and guide the board layouts.
--- Work on a cross-functional team in the development and
integration of world class avionics systems.
--- Resolve test anomalies and troubleshooting, and generation,
review and presentation of Product Certification, and also support
system level testing. To be effective in this role, you will
need:
--- Experience in digital and/or optical networks.
--- Experience supporting the technical evaluation of design and
requirements verification.
--- Experience in full program life-cycle of aerospace hardware
development.
--- Experience leading technical teams and interacting with peers,
management and government customers.
--- Experience in presentations and in written communication
skills.
--- Missile design experience.
--- 14+ years of professional experience with a Bachelor's; or 12+
years of professional experience with a Master's degree.
--- Willing and able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance
, thus you are a US Citizen .
Basic Qualifications:
--- Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college in
Electrical Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent
experience/combined education.
--- Experienced with avionics computer systems such as CPUs, data
bus, networks, switches, routers and related communication hardware
including physical interfaces to the application layer.
--- Analysis experience with metrics like bus utilization, memory
utilization, processor margin, timing.
--- Experience with network analyzers, data protocols, message
formats, command & telemetry database.
--- Willing and able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance,
thus US Citizenship is required.
Desired Skills:
--- Work with low SWaP, radiation hardened, space rated
devices.
--- Support all aspects of tactical avionics development, to
include architecture, design, analysis, and test.
--- Support technical reviews, and be able to present to internal
and external stakeholders.
--- Interface with independent multi-disciplinary engineering teams
who will be working in parallel to deliver the design.
--- Effective in decomposing all aspects of network development
(physical layer hardware, software, FPGA/ASIC development, and
cabling) to create discrete tasking and provide a vision for the
integrated team to follow
--- Generation and decomposition of network requirements into
actionable tasks, and technology maturation roadmaps.
--- Experience with radiation test plans for network related
devices (cables, phys, etc.).
--- Experience with system noise characterization test plans for
network related devices.
--- Experience with developing and deploying a network technology
in a strategic radiation hardened system.
--- Experience architecting a missile network and implementing
provisions to ensure safety around sensitive electronics and/or
ordnance.
--- Experience with TSN Ethernet, Ethernet, TDMA, SpaceWire, or
SpaceWire-D in flight systems (not ground based).
--- Experience with evaluating and working with suppliers to modify
physical layer drivers to meet strategic radiation hardened
requirements (e.g. LVDS, RS-485).
--- Experience performing cable characterization and physical
medium characterization and modifications for high bandwidth data
transmission.
--- Experience evaluating proprietary custom network solutions
(non-standard technologies).
--- Experience authoring network RFI/RFPs and evaluating network
proposals.
--- Experience in electronic systems schematic creation and
interpretation, and Electronics Modeling/Simulation Tools such as
SPICE.
--- Experience in schematic capture using Zuken or similar
tools.
--- Experience with PSPICE, Saber or other electronics simulation
tool experience.
--- Experience performing electronics analysis (Worst Case
Analysis, Electrical Parts Stress Analysis, Failure Modes and
Effects Critical Analysis).
--- Demonstrated good communication and presentation skills with
the ability to articulate complex technical issues to peers,
management, subcontractors and customers.
--- Able to work effectively in a diverse team environment.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated
with this position will be performed onsite at a designated
Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate
work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our
employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day
work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules
provide employees with additional time away from the office and are
in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in
California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas),
Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or
Washington DC is $122,900 - $216,660. For states not referenced
above, the salary range for this position will reflect the
candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary
information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers
factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of
the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key
skills as well as market and business considerations when extending
an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time

sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO,
Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start
date during the calendar year.
