space applications as a Signal/Image Processing Engineer. As a
Signal/Image Processing Engineer with the Optical payload Center of
Excellence (OPCoE), your responsibilities will include:---
Development of robotics vision algorithms, software architecture,
and computer vision software for embedded software applications.---
Working with a small team in the development and testing of
computer vision software within simulation environments, to include
a physical 12-dof lab.--- Development of virtual testing using
simulated imagery.--- Working with a small team that develops
software algorithms that execute on embedded Power Architectures in
a fast-paced environment that employs Agile methodologies. The
Optical Payload Center of Excellence (OPCoE) enables new frontiers
in visible-light and infrared systems, missile defense, space
exploration and much more. Our members integrate authorities across
the nation, within Lockheed Martin, our industry partners and
leading research universities, in to one fast-acting collaborative
group.We are looking for a strong background in computer science
and software engineering. You should demonstrate effective verbal
communication, commitment to collaborative technology development,
develop concise and professional technical presentations, and
deliver briefings to peers, leadership, and US Government
customers. You should be able to work in a classified
environment.Ideally, you will have a background in software or
computer science and possess degree from an accredited program in a
related discipline, such as Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics,
or another related field. You should be familiar with:--- Computer
vision.--- Embedded software architectures, and C++ development.---
MATLAB, Wind River WorkBench IDE, C++, and Wind River VxWorks 6.x
RTOS.You would typically have a Bachelors degree and 9-15 years of
professional experience, a Masters and 7-13 years, or a PhD and 4+

designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule
will be discussed during the hiring process.Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that
provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range
from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may
be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with
additional time away from the office and are in addition to our
