Information about Lakewood and the surrounding area can be found at Lakewood.We expect to fill one vacancy at this time; however, additional positions may be filled from this announcement if they become available.Learn more about this agency Responsibilities Provides the Colorado State Office (COSO) assistance with planning, acquisition, management, inventory, utilization, training, and disposal of all personal property (e.g., computer equipment, office equipment, and other forms of equipment). Oversees tracking and distribution of all personal property including locally managed, non-system, controlled assets and assets utilizing the Department of the Interior?s (DOI) Financial Business Management System (FBMS). Disseminates information on agency standards governing property management and provides state-wide coordination, compliance evaluation, and assistance to COSO at all organizational levels on proper methods for property accountability. Conducts an annual Personal Property Inventory for COSO; advises the Accountable Property Officer (APO), Custodial Property Officers (CPO), and Cognizant Employees (CE) with inventory issues (i.e., missing property, transfer of equipment, etc.) Updates FBMS records; and submits completion documents to the National Operations Center (NOC). Reviews requests for disposing of property by analyzing condition of all surplus property to determine if items are useable, scrap, or surplus and recommends a proper method of disposal (e.g., trade-in, donation, and sale) to the APO. Responsible for the transfer or disposal of assets that have been certified unserviceable, lost, stolen or damaged; collect data and documentation on such property for the Report of Survey process. Ensures records are subsequently adjusted to reflect the change in status. No assumptions will be made about your experience.You must possess one (1) full year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 level that is equivalent in difficulty and complexity as indicated by the following examples of creditable specialized experience includes:Coordinates the utilization, disposal, redistribution, transfer, and/or donation of a variety of property types.Assists in the development of local systems and general operating procedures.Conducts property management related training, as necessary.Provides assistance with planning, acquisition, management, inventory, utilization, and disposal of all personal property (e.g., computer equipment, office equipment, cadastral surveying equipment, global positioning systems (GPS), and geographic information systems (GIS).Performs property reviews and inventories and oversees excess and personal property disposal.Manages personal property and capitalized items, such as telephone systems, GIS, and vehicles, as well as other government property not controlled in the Financial Business Management System (FBMS) such as printers and cellular phones.Oversees tracking and distribution of sensitive equipment assigned to the State Office.Conducts an annual Personal Property Inventory for an office, updates FBMS records, and submits completion documents.Reviews requests for disposing of property by analyzing condition of all surplus property to determine if items are useable, scrap, or surplus and recommends a proper method of disposal (e.g., trade-in, donation, and sale) to the APO.Responsible for the transfer or disposal of assets that have been certified unserviceable, lost, stolen or damaged; collect data and documentation on such property for the Report of Survey process; and ensures records are subsequently adjusted to reflect the change in status.Administers an office's complex building security system comprised of software and physical components located throughout the facility. Manages the camera and recording equipment along with temporary badges. Programs and controls the database maintaining numerous security codes, systems commands, employee access and door schedule information.Performs USAccess Light Activation duties for employee personal identity verification (PIV) credentials. Monitorsall building access and reviews alarm codes for any breach of security. Continuously assesses building and property security to identify any deficiencies in order to compensate for changes in security policy, regulations, or staff and visitor needs.Performs routine mail and supply duties. Processes daily incoming and out-going mail. Date stamps and delivers incoming documents. Secures and processes checks/money orders into the BLM Collections and Billings System (CBS) data system.Purchases supplies and equipment through the DOI government charge card program. Maintains receipts, verifiestransactions, and reconciles charge card statements for monthly submissions to the BLM Agency/Organization Program Coordinator (A/OPC) or similar.Performs various fleet and facility maintenance duties. Schedules and dispatches motor vehicles and monitors the overall status of the fleet to include vehicle repairs, inspections, and maintenance as needed. Ensures appropriate records are maintained and monthly reporting requirements are met.Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Work involves regular and recurring exposure to adverse weather conditions and conditions within hazardous collection and storage facilities.
