Audit Executive The Chief Compliance Officer & Chief Audit
Executive at UCHealth plays a pivotal role in the organization's
leadership, ensuring that all operations adhere to the highest
standards of regulatory compliance and ethical conduct. As a member
of the senior leadership team, the CCO/CAE is entrusted with the
strategic development, implementation, and ongoing management of
UCHealth's comprehensive compliance and internal audit programs.
This executive's responsibilities include establishing and
overseeing policies and procedures that promote ethical practices
and a culture of compliance throughout the organization. The
CCO/CAE serves as the main liaison with regulatory agencies,
managing responses to audits, investigations, and inquiries to
safeguard UCHealth against legal and regulatory risks. By directing
compliance and audit activities, this leader ensures that UCHealth
meets its performance and quality control goals, while continuously
monitoring developments in healthcare compliance to recommend
cost-effective solutions that support the organization's commitment
to integrity, accountability, and excellence. Reports to: This
position reports functionally to the Board's Audit and Compliance
Committees and administratively to the UCHealth Chief Legal Officer
and the UCHealth Chief Financial Officer. The Chief Compliance
Officer and Audit Executive maintain independent reporting lines to
ensure oversight integrity. This position is an onsite and does not
offer a remote or hybrid work option. Key Responsibilities Develop,
implement, and monitor UCHealth's compliance program to ensure
adherence to all applicable laws and regulations. Establish and
oversee policies and procedures that foster ethical practices and a
culture of compliance throughout the organization. Serve as the
primary contact for regulatory agencies, coordinating responses to
audits, investigations, and inquiries. Design and deliver
compliance training for staff to ensure understanding of
expectations and reporting mechanisms. Lead investigations into
potential compliance violations and coordinate corrective actions
as needed. Participate in the development of organizational vision,
policies, and short- and long-term objectives as a member of the
leadership team. Direct compliance and audit activities to meet
performance and quality control objectives. Maintain current
knowledge of compliance and audit developments affecting healthcare
organizations and recommend cost-effective solutions. Develop and
execute an annual risk-based internal audit plan aligned with
organizational goals and regulatory requirements. Evaluate internal
controls, risk management, and governance processes to ensure
operational effectiveness and efficiency. Report significant
findings and recommendations to executive leadership and monitor
remediation progress. Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing
team of compliance and audit professionals in a collaborative,
ethical work environment. Qualifications Advanced degree in
accounting, finance, healthcare administration, law, or a related
field required Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in
healthcare compliance, internal audit, or related field, with at
least 5 years in a senior leadership role. In-depth knowledge of
healthcare laws and regulations (e.g., HIPAA, Stark Law,
Anti-Kickback Statute, CMS requirements). Demonstrated ability to
lead investigations, manage complex compliance and audit programs,
and influence organizational change. Exceptional communication,
interpersonal, and analytical skills. Proven commitment to
integrity, objectivity, and ethical leadership. Key Competencies

$519,022 annual base salary. Pay is dependent on applicant's
